Accessibility

Custom Suit Co. wants everyone to be able to design a suit, get measured, give a gift and get help. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across our website and account areas.

What we do

• Every page can be used with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link.
• Form fields have labels, required fields are marked, and errors are explained in words and announced to screen readers.
• Text and controls are designed to meet color-contrast guidelines.
• Suit drawings and style pictures include text descriptions, and every design choice is also written out in words.
• Our measurement guide describes each measurement in words as well as pictures, one step at a time.
• Pages work on phones and tablets, and when you zoom in up to 200%.

Other ways to measure

If measuring yourself isn't practical, a local partner tailor near you can take your measurements where available. If there isn't one near you, our support team can talk through other options, such as having a friend or family member follow the guide with you.

Known limitations

Cloth pictures are Vitale Barberis Canonico's own swatch photographs, used as placeholders until we photograph our own cloth. Our suit pictures lay that photograph onto a real photograph of a suit, and the style details are our own drawings. No screen shows a color exactly, so treat what you see as close rather than exact. A picture can't fully describe how a cloth looks, so every fabric also has a written name and description, and you can ask our support team for a physical swatch. We're continually testing and improving the site, and some older or third-party pieces (such as Stripe's secure checkout page) may not meet every guideline.
