Here's exactly what happens, step by step. Nothing is cut until you've checked everything and finalized your order.

Step 1: Design your suit
Choose from our curated fabrics, then pick every style detail: jacket buttons and lapels, pockets, vents, trouser fit, linings and more. Every choice is shown as a drawing, and our recommended choices are marked, so you can see what you're getting.
Every cloth is Vitale Barberis Canonico's Perennial collection — Super 110's, 100% merino wool, woven in Italy since 1663.
The price depends only on the fabric tier:

A matching vest is $150 extra.
When your design is ready
Step 2: Pay at checkout
You pay the full price at checkout. Getting measured and delivery are both included, so there's no separate fitting fee. Payments are handled securely by Stripe.
You can still adjust style details in your account afterward, right up until you finalize.

Step 3: Get measured, your way
Measure at home before you pay and see your suit and your numbers together, or pay first and measure afterward. A partner tailor measures you after you pay. Pick whichever suits you:

Prefer someone local to help you? In your account, enter your ZIP code to see if a partner tailor serves your area. They take every measurement, note your posture and, with your permission, take your photos.

Thirteen numbers with a soft tape measure, ideally with someone to help. The most precise way to measure at home.
Use a jacket and trousers that fit you
About 10 minutes, available everywhere
Lay them flat and measure them — no helper needed. Quickest if you already own clothes you like the fit of. No jacket or trousers that fit? Measure your body for that piece instead.
Measuring at home, in three parts
Every number saves as you type it, so you can stop and come back.
- Your numbers. Height and weight first. Custom: 13 measurements of your body on one page, with a picture of the body lighting up the one you're taking. Express: measure a jacket and trousers that fit you well instead (or just one of them). A typical range under every box, and a check that your numbers go together.
- Photos. Three photos from the neck down, cropped on your phone before they're uploaded. We only take photos of adults, so this is where we ask your age.
- Review. A picture of your body with your numbers on it, and the 10 we work out labeled as ours. Fix anything, then you're ready to finalize.
When you're ready
Step 4: Review and finalize
Sign in to see your design and measurements side by side. Until you finalize you can:
- adjust your style details,
- update or re-take any measurement,
- check your delivery address.
When everything looks right, press Finalize. Your design and measurements are locked from then on, so take your time here. If a number needs another look, we'll tell you exactly which one and how to check it.
About 4 weeks after you finalize
Step 5: We make your suit and deliver it
Your suit is cut and sewn to your measurements by our suit maker, then goes through a quality check before it ships. You'll get tracking details once it's on its way.
Our tailors are a family workshop making bespoke suits since 1951, now in its third generation, hand-finishing every detail.
Delivery is about 4 weeks (28 days) after you finalize. That's an estimate, so if you have a wedding or event date, get measured and finalize early to leave yourself some breathing room.
Any time after delivery
Step 6: Tell us how it fits
A few days after your suit arrives, we'll email you a link to a short fit check. Try the suit on, rate how each area fits, add a few photos from the neck down, and give the overall fit a score.
We ask everyone, even when the fit is perfect, because it helps us get the next suit right too. If anything needs attention, we take it from there. Please send it any time after delivery and before any alterations elsewhere.
If the fit isn't right
A suit cut from numbers can't be guaranteed to fit perfectly, so here is what actually happens when something is off, and what we can and can't do about it.
- Tell us how it fitsAny time after delivery, and before any alterations elsewhere. Say where it feels tight, loose, long or short, and add the photos we ask for.
- We look at itWe check what you told us and your photos against your measurements, and reply within 1–2 business days.
- We tell you what we can doThings like trouser waist, sleeve length, hems and the seat are usually put right with an adjustment at a local tailor. We say what we think is wrong and what we suggest, and whether we can help with the cost. That part is decided case by case and agreed with you before anything starts.
- We're straight about the limitsA suit cut from numbers can't be guaranteed to fit perfectly, and some things can't be put right by an adjustment at all. Where a remake is the only answer, that is our decision to make, and we'll tell you either way.

Gifts
Buying for someone else?
The steps are almost the same, and you never need to know their size. You choose a fabric and pay. We email the recipient a gift code, or you print a gift card to hand over yourself. You won't see their measurements or photos.
- You choose a fabric and pay for the suit.
- The recipient gets a gift code by email or on a printed gift card.
- They claim it, choose their final style details within the same price tier, and get measured.
- They finalize, and the suit arrives about 4 weeks later.

- Questions about a measurement before you finalize? We're happy to double-check it with you.
No refunds or returns
Each suit is made for one person, from their own measurements, so it can't be resold. That's why orders can't be refunded, returned or exchanged once you confirm them at checkout, even before you finalize. Until you finalize, you can still change your design and measurements. It's also why we ask everyone how their suit fits once it arrives.
